Why LinkedIn

The only place you can choose exactly who sees you

Every other platform infers who you are from your behaviour. LinkedIn does not have to guess — people tell it where they work, what they do and how senior they are, and they keep it current for reasons that have nothing to do with advertising.

Pick the person. Not the keyword.

On most platforms you buy an audience and hope the right people are in it. On LinkedIn you describe the person you want — their job, their industry, the size of their company — and that is who gets shown the ad.

It costs more per click than Google or Facebook. It is worth more, because you are not paying to reach people who were never going to buy.

That is the whole argument. Everything else is execution.

What that actually buys you

Six things you can do on LinkedIn that you cannot do anywhere else, or cannot do nearly as precisely.

You choose exactly who sees it

Job title, seniority, industry, company size, even the specific companies by name. Not "people who might be interested" — the actual person who signs off the purchase.

Go after a named list of companies

Give us a spreadsheet of the businesses you want to win and we will show your ads to the people who work there. The industry calls this account-based marketing. It is simpler than it sounds.

People are there for work

Nobody opens LinkedIn to look at holiday photos. They are checking suppliers, reading about their industry, thinking about work problems. Your ad arrives while they are in that frame of mind.

You can see what actually worked

We connect the ads to whatever you already use to track enquiries — a CRM, a spreadsheet, an inbox. So at the end of the month you know which ads brought in real customers, not just clicks.

People look you up before they call

Buyers check who you are long before they get in touch. Turning up in front of them repeatedly, looking like a serious business, does a lot of the selling before anyone picks up the phone.

More than one way to reach them

A single image, a short video, a document they can flick through, a form they fill in without leaving LinkedIn, a message straight to their inbox. Different jobs, different tools.
